Spotted Cow

When the public house changed hands some eight years ago the new owners wanted to give it a bit of a makeover. Although it was a traditional country establishment it was in need of a little updating. We worked closely with our clients and prepared a schedule of works. We had just 7 days to achieve completion.

A big opening party was being planned for the Friday evening with a marquee and a band so we had to be ready. The project included emptying the building, a small amount of plumbing and electrics. There was the decoration of the entire premises and curtains to be made and installed. We had new carpets and wood flooring to be fitted.

Also some rather funky new bar furniture was on its way. We planned everything very carefully and worked extremely hard. When the Friday came we dressed the marquee, strung up buntings and planted flower tubs. It was transformed and looked great. This was a very proud moment; we had excelled at our team working skills. We had just enough time to go home for well deserved showers and to be back for the grand opening. The evening was a huge success with hundreds of people in attendance.
